XPan 90mm f4 lens

Need some advice from XPan users if the 90mm f4 lens is useful or just nice to have, compared with the standard 45mm f4 lens that comes with the camera? The 30mm lens is way too costly to own. Any sharing of experience with both 90mm and the 30mm lenses is most welcome.

i'm looking for one for my self too, i find it useful when comes to landscape that u need to reach certain object far

30mm is def sweet to have but it cost you another set of XPANII + 45mm....

I bought mine from KEH recently. Tested a few shots, the lens has very good resolution, comparable with the 45 mm.

I am also looking for the 30 mm lens as a lot of XPan users mention that those who own all the 3 lenses shoot 50 to 60% of the time using the 30 mm lens. Some even say it is a portable 617!

I used to own the xpan with the 45 and 90 & centre filter. Great cam. The 90 doesn't require the centre filter and its cool when you need the 50mm perspective in pano mode (which I use 99% of the time)

Used to own an Xpan with both the 45mm & 90mm. To me, they are two different lenses. The 90mm is good to have especially when doing closer crops. Do take a look of a few examples I have posted below and see for yourself.

Many thanks for sharing. I found the reduced rectangular bracket in the view finder a bit irritating though and it is like one cannot sure if the rectangle includes everything one wants it to be there.
