Hi to all pro-videoman (aka video old birds),

I'm preparaing a quote for the job as stated below

Video job for Xmas and NY eve's countdown
-9pm-1am
-1 camera and 1 cameraman indoor
-1 camera and 1 cameraman outdoor
-1 camera and 1 cameraman running around catch snap shots
-Editing not included

I'm charging them $700/cameraman w/camera for working 9pm-1am
Do you think this is reasonable? (taking the holiday surcharge into account)

Thk for you input.

Sam

9am - 1pm = 4hrs
700 / 4 = 175/hr
Overall 700 x 3 = 2100.

I think its fine. Thats an alrite rate considering such a date.

Hi,

Before you jump in to quote at $700/cam op with camera, I guess you need to define your type of camera requirement for format delivery.

If delivery requirement is in DV, DVCPro, DVCAM or HDV, I guess $700 is a reasonable rate. But if requirement is to shoot with DVCProHD, HDCAM or Digital Beta, then $700 is a bit too tight. ;)

Thank you very much, I am aware of that...price offered is for DV and

no live feed, no redheads But will have on-cam light.

They actualy wanted me to quote to 12am only but the most happening time is after the countdown so I factored in till 1am. (also taking into acount packing up)

From the way you remind me you sure am a pro...aka old bird. More to learn from
you guys here.

u can hire me =)

for that time period, i'll charge like 1000/hour! hahah...

Anyway, merry xmas in advance
