Hi.
Just curious, does anyone know if x-ray can zap the fungus on my lens?

haha :D thats a great thought. Let just hope we dont turn them into some super mutant strain that grows even faster

I would think you would require quite a few passes to even damage the fungus, since the dose is even lower than that used for medical x-rays....

some people experienced their films got ruined throught x-ray. some never experienced that before with many passes.

so how? demand a hand-check if shots are so important. if not, don't bother lor.

iso 400 and below "should be" safe.

My Fuji Astia 100 turned out with very weird colour after taking it Malaysia and gone through the X-ray. I thought it was safe for low iso.

2 rolls. It can't be that Cathay sold me detective ones, I don't think so.

The latest generation of airport X-ray machines are variable power jobs and are well and truly capable of wrecking ANY film regardless of ISO speed rating, especially if the operator is incompetent (as most are).

What about electronic components?
I put my whole bag thru the X-ray, can?

The custom always claim the machine is X-ray safe, but if you check the packaging of pro film (i refer to the paper box), it states "Avoid heat and X-Ray". I interprete as avoid all forms of X-ray coz it is sensitive right. :dunno:
