X-fine and fine on A1

Recently i purchased the A1 and i notice when i switch from any other modes to AUTO, the picture type becomes FINE instead of EXTRA-FINE. Is this suppose to be normal ? Can't it just possibly be fixed on EXTRA-FINE in all mode ?

I suspect there is a seperate memory for settings in Auto and settings in other modes. Or perhaps there is no settings for Auto except the default ones.
Try selecting something other than Auto, then change the picture type to extra fine or something else you like.

Hit the menu button, you can change th pic quality in any mode.

Hi, I am afraid you are missing the point. He is asking why the setting he set wasn't keep when he switch to auto mode.
