Steadicam Volt gimbal up for grabs!
Opened only for a test run, anyway box was shipped unshipped due to airline regulations around the shipping of batteries (Tiffen issued an official statement about this if you're interested)
This was a kickstarter project I backed and was recently delivered to me. Tested it out and happy to say all is well.
Full set in box with rechargeable batts and charger intact. Also comes with GoPro mount adaptor custom-made for the Steadicam volt.
You can use this with devices up to 300gms such as:
1) mobile phone / smart phone
2) GoPro / other action cameras
3) smaller cameras if you adapt the gopro mount (can be done with adaptors that cost just couple bucks, ask me, I'll tell you how)
Steadicam was the pioneer of gimbal stabilisation tech and this iteration sees them combining their expertise in manuals with a Yunnec electronic gimbal motor. This means you can use the gimbal both with and without the motor.
I've used the Zhiyun, Feiyu-tech, DJI Osmo and other brushless motor gimbal brands and am able to rate this right up there with the best ones in terms of stability.
Good news: Tiffen has been gathering feedback from users and is working on software updates that will be pushed to the gimbal via bluetooth. There is also a Tiffen app with some controls you could use if you would prefer to use that instead of your own preferred camera app. It worked with multiple apps on my iPhone 7 and Samsung S7 and S8.
