Its weight allows me to be mobile and move around easily. I also use it like a monopod at constraint locations.
Having a fluid drag system head means that I can get good pan shots.
As for tilt shots, it depends on the weight of your camera set-up. DSLRS with heavy lenses need controlled force guided with the hand. Mirrorless cameras will fare great while doing tilt shots.
