Hi Selling
The VS Series tripods present interesting possibilities thanks to the unique multifunction arm that can be rotated 360º when gripped. Directed upward, the VS tripod enables easy shooting of celestial bodies and fireworks. Turned downward, the VS Series facilitates macro work and the photography of high buildings from low angles. In horizontal movement, the legs of the tripod can be opened to the low position for zooming with cinema/video effects by extending the elevator.
The tripod that expands photographic options through its multiple modes of use.
three-section legs, geared center column, ball head, and tripod case are standard.
The V4 unit is recommended for users who want to use the arm alone on different tripod models. Diameter of head mounting screw is 1/4 inch.

The key to the extreme versatility of the Velbon VS-443D is an ingenious new mechanism that combines a geared/slide elevator with a 180-degree tilt arm and a 360-degree pan horizontally. Its quick and easy to use, too: a single twist of the grip at the end of the multi-angle arm loosens both the tilt and rotation, and when the arm is in the desired position, a twist of the grip in the opposite direction re-engages the locking nut and the arm is fixed again
In the vertical position the multi-angle arm functions as a geared elevator up to a maximum extended height of 161cm (5 3.4). The tripods 4-section aluminium legs allow a collapsed length of 58cm (22.8 in.) which, with a weight of just 1.85kg (4.08lb), offers a portability that ensures it will be on hand regardless of the location.
With the multi-angle arm placed horizontally, its geared sliding movement of 200mm (7.87 in.) is useful in other new ways. Use it for fine adjustments in macro (close-up) photography without shifting either the subject or the tripod. Or exploit its smooth, solid movement for a slow track into the subject with a camcorder, or even laterally for a subtle emphasis of the three-dimensional space in a shot. The VS-443D can take your camera safely into the strangest of places it has even conveyed an SLR into a pipe for a building inspection report!
The leg angles of the VS-443D are in Velbons standard three increments: 25°, 45° and a wide-spread 75° for low-angle photography. Adjusting the angle of each leg requires just the flick of a small lever-switch above the joint.
With the legs at the low-angle position and the elevator arm horizontal, the camera is at a height of 24cm (9.45 in.), but a tilt of the multi-angle arm provides the ultimate in ultra-low-angle photography: the ball-and-socket joint beneath the camera plate can be positioned right on the ground. And if an even lower position is required for a still image, just a twist of the end grip on the arm can turn the DSLR upside down so its viewfinder hovers just millimetres above the ground but with the security and stability only a tripod can offer.
Shooting straight down known as the copy stand position is a breeze too. No need to split an elevator shaft, no need to unscrew or remove any parts, to place the camera amongst the legs of the tripod simply tilt the multi-angle arm right over to point the camera downwards. As the ball head can tilt and turn the camera to almost any angle, in this position the VS-443D is ideal, for example, for perfectly steady video of insects or flowers in outdoor gardens without the need for image stabilisation functionality in the camera or lens.
Even while the multi-angle construction of the VS-443D extends the equipment outside the usual symmetrical centre of gravity, the tripods ideal carrying weight of 3kg covers a small DSLR with attached lens up to a mid-range telephoto zoom, or a mid-sized camcorder.
The tripods supplied Ball Head QHD-53D ensures a solid, secure mount for your camera. Its quick release plate QB-62 allows near-instant detachment of your camera for that spontaneous handheld grab-shot.
The VS-443D is supplied with its own zip-up carry case with shoulder strap.
