For sale is a Pentax K1000 in MINT condition, one of photography's greatest, most popular and longest-lived cameras. Comes with a SMC Pentax-M 50mm F2 fast lens that produces sharp images and for low light shooting.
All functions working as it should. Film winder is smooth. Shutter fires. Meter works with a LR44 battery (Will include a battery.) Cosmetically has no scratches that I can find, the base plate and top plate is clear and beautiful. Couldn't find any dings or dents. Optically coating on lens is beautiful. Lens is clear and fungus free.
The Pentax K1000 is simple. It does exactly what it needs to do, and nothing more. It's a great camera to learn photography with. It is completely mechanical and can run without a battery. However a LR44 is needed for the meter to work. There is a very good reason every photo teacher demanded the K1000 be used in their classes: because the K1000 is an extraordinary camera that forces you to think about your picture instead of your camera.
