Hi All,
I am planning to sell my used Leica R4 not using it for a while now after I've gotten my Leica R-E. Its not that R4 is not good I just like the RE as I mainly shoot A Mode and R-E is Leica simplified R body
R4 has more controls like A-Mode (Selective Field metering), P-Mode, M-Mode, T-Mode and with another A-Mode (Larger Field Metering). RE has lesser modes for simple folks like me RE doesnt have the P and T modes but both has Bulb
I just replaced the Metering battery and tested against my RE using same mode and metering is identical with my R-E so meaning metering is still working as it supposed to be.
OVF is clean and clear I dont see any molds or major dust particles. The body has the stock universal focusing screen; this can be change if you want.
The camera comes with a original Leica R4 box in a very good shape some-more very rare now a days to find such body with a box some-more very good condition. It also comes with a plastic bottom plate use this if you're not using motor-drive or motor-winder to protect the contacts and base plate of your camera. Also comes with original Leica unused (I never used it myself) neck strap, also comes with some manual and catalogs sadly they are all in German :-( but you can find free online in PDF User Guide if you want I can email a copy to you.
My Leica RE doesnt even come with any of the above mentioned so this R4 is much more complete.
