Description:
Selling a Olympus SP Rangefinder, which is known to be the most advanced Compact Rangefinder of it's time till today! Comes with the legendary 7 element Zuiko G 42mm f1.7 Lens (most other rangefinders only have a 6 element lens) as well as Spot Metering function which i believe, is only present in this rangefinder and in no other. -Comes with original leather strap and case
-No lens cap provided
-Light Meter is working
-Viewfinder is clear and bright
-Lens is free from fungus and haze
-Timer is working
However with every vintage rangefinder, this one comes with flaws as well.
-Turning the shutter speed dial results in some gear spinning sound (similar to the timer). I have no idea why this is the case but i believe it doesn't affect the functions of the camera.
-Film rewind button (at the bottom of camera) cannot be recessed. Meaning to say in order to rewind film, you have to press and hold on to the button without letting go and rewind the film. Small issue though.
-Light seals haven't been replaced
-Battery compartment is very sensitive. I used a PX625 zinc air battery together with some aluminium foil so that the light meter can receive the charge from the battery.
-The strap lug on the right of the camera appears to be a little loose.
Other issues to clarify.
-This camera hasn't been film tested, too busy with work and need the $$.
