I bought this camera about a month ago from a well known major used camera shop in Tokyo just to try out the 0.58 finder, and I like it a lot. So much so that I'm now seriously considering sending one of my MPs to Leica in Germany to be converted from 0.72 to 0.58. I found the 0.58 finder great for both 28mm and 35mm and usable for 50mm. It works well in tandem with a 0.72 camera.
This is a "Japan Edition" M6 TTL so has the Leica logo screen printed on the top plate. AFAIK that's the only difference between a "Japan Edition" model and a regular model. The camera is functioning perfectly. Shutter speeds are accurate and the rangefinder is correctly aligned. I ran about five rolls of film through the camera and they all came out perfectly exposed. The finder is clean and clear and as you can see from the photos there is minimal wear and no obvious scratches or dings on the body itself. A very nice camera for shooting with.
