As much as I'd like to keep it, I don't think it's practical keeping two cameras at the same time. The visuals of this camera is unique and I don't think there needs much explanation (many who owns one would agree how the m8 has a special place in their heart)
Camera has been sent recently for a sensor clean (not changed, unlike the m9 where it corrodes over time). The LCD screen is still working fine, as with the rest of the mechanical mechanisms.
Of course, speaking to Leica service centre folks, they would advise for an overhaul given the age of M8 model; though some vintage camera gurus have advised otherwise (if not broken, what is there to fix?)
