Selling a good condition M8, which was refurbished by Leica in 2014.
I am the 2nd owner. The camera is rarely used over the past few months and kept in dry cabinet.
The camera body was sent to Leica Singapore for a complete overhaul in Dec 2014. All parts were adjusted, rangefinder cleaned and the sensor was replaced with a new one. Services include (listed in warranty receipt):
- Brand new sensor board
- software adjustment
- printed circuit replaced
- leather covering replaced
- Winding mechanism (shutter) serviced: carrier and sliding carriage replaced
- knurled ring replaced
- O-ring replaced
External hence looks almost brand new with slight non noticable brassing. Base plate plastic still intact.
Buy with a piece of mind with warranty (not that you will need it) on all the above until Dec 2015.
Shutter count is 4K+ since rangefinder was serviced. Overall shutter count is 12K+.
Would love to sell to someone who will utilize the camera well. It takes amazing b&w pictures even in JPG.
