This is a Leica IIIa rangefinder from 1939 (serial number 316499) and a Leica Summar 50mm f2 lens from similar period (serial number 405081).
I don't have much time for film photography nowadays, so am letting go most of my Leica babies hopefully to someone else to enjoy them.
Just tested the shutter. Works at all speeds even down to the bulb mode.
Many of these vintage rangefinders don't work at the lower speeds so this is one of the few that does, hence the higher price. (I do have another cheaper one listed.)
You may want to have it CLAed before using as it was last done sometime ago and left in my drybox since.
This camera has been well taken care of but please expect the usual wear for a camera that is 80 years old. If you want a mint camera, pls go buy a dSLR or pay thousand of dollars for a mint sample in the auctions.
The Summar lens is also in good condition.
