Selling a Konica Hexar RF set. Comes with body, the highly-sought after Hexanon-M 50mm F2 lens (with filter + in-built hood), fully working flash (with batteries), display box, papers. Also included is a Zhou half-case with white stitching.
Cosmetically it is a 7/10 with paint loss round the edges of the body and minor scratches; but I just had it CLA-ed at Nic (Cam-X) before my trip to Tokyo 2 weeks ago to make sure it was good to roll during the trip. So mechanically it is perfect, the viewfinder is clear and shutter speeds all work great. It is a handsome camera even in its present condition.
I love this camera, and I know personally it is more efficient to shoot in comparison to an M6 with its auto-winder, film back-loader, the easier-to-turn shutter speed dial, and definitely the clear-to-read metering system. It's not a battery guzzler either, and I have yet needed to change batteries (I'm throwing in spare because I won't have need for them if the camera gets sold).
The Hexanon-M 50mm F2 lens is in absolute mint condition. The lens in fact was purchased in Tokyo just 2 days ago, separate from my acquiring the Hexar RF body. No fungus, no scratches, no nothing. Optically perfect. The aperture clicks are music to the ears, and focus ring is smooth as butter. The UV filter comes included and has kept the lens well-protected, and for those that don't know, this lens has an in-built hood. Nice.
The reason I'm selling my Hexar RF set is because I have a big credit card bill looming and I cannot afford to keep more than one camera.
So here is the price breakdown:
Hexar RF set (+ Zhou case) - $1500
Hexar RF body only - $700
Hexanon 50mm F2 lens only - $850
I'd much prefer if I can let go of all this as a set. Please note that with the body in particular, I'm not out to make a profit considering I paid a decent price for it, plus CLA. So it is mostly non-negotiable, but let's talk.
PS. Artist&Artisan strap not included.
