Equipment Type: MediumFormat
Equipment Brand: Seagull
Equipment Model: Red and Gold 4A-109 *Extremely Rare*
Price (S$): 400
Description:
This is an extremely rare red & gold 4A-109 with a 75mm/f3.5 four-element Tessar taking lens that gives some really wild swirling bokeh. I have seen the 4A-107 red & gold for sale on the net but not this 4A-109. Comments on the 4A-109 from our own CSer can be found in the following thread:

The reason I am selling this is because I dont use it enough, only shot a couple of rolls since I got it about 2 years ago. The lenses (both viewing and taking) are in pristine condition with no scratch, fungus or haze. Kept in dry box when not in use. Shutter speed seems ok. There is some minor debonding of the leatherette from the body but that is to be expected and can be easily glued back.

I am also throwing in 3 rolls of E100VS (expiring Dec 2010) to start you off immediately if you're new to the 120 format.

Additional Comments:
Not in a hurry to sell, so if you lowball you're just wasting your own effort, time, sms, bandwidth, money whatever.

Just a couple of clarifications:

1. The 4A-109 does not come with a light meter. In fact, I cannot recall Seagull ever having a TLR with one. Many of the "affordable" TLRs on the market today either dont have a light meter or the meter is dead. If you really cannot do without a built-in light meter, you might want to look around for a Yashica (probably around the same price as well).

2. The debonding of the leatherette is a minor issue, only affects some small corners. I mentioned it so that the eventual owner is fully aware of it. It is not a reason for any lowball offers. If I were to glue it back and leave out its mention, he wont be any wiser anyway. In any case, the leatherette is always applied on with glue, no big deal for some self-remedy...I know, I am lazy... :)

Sold to a nice young gentleman.

Thank you for all your interests.
