Description:
It's a 617 format camera with a replaceable lens, it shoots gigantic 6x17 centimeters negatives with all the details you can dream of on a large format but with the advantages of 120 format roll film (easy to develop, no film holders and dark bags or focusing mattes to deal with). It's also a unique format that serious landscape shooters loved for a long time.
Here is what the package contains:
- Fuji GX617 body
- Fujinon SWC 90 F/5. 6 wide angle lens (about 20mm equivalent horizontally)
- 90mm finder
- 105mm finder (I find this better to use)
- 2 stop ND center filter
- 10 stop ND constant filter
- lens hood
- lens cap with sheet filter holder
- filter holder ring
- strap
- cable release
- printed manual
Condition:
Body: in general is in good condition although due to previous use, it shows some cosmetic wear on the outside (see following pictures). It works just fine, although on film advance it has some noises, might need to send for CLA but considering it shares a lot of the body build with the 670/690 cameras, this should be relatively cheap. I talked to Camera Hospital and deCamera, they're both willing to take it for CLA if you decide to do so.
Lens: clean with a minimal amount of dust (it's a large format lens, so can be considered super clean). All shutter speeds are accurate (including the 1 second that usually is worst for leaf shutters - I regularly used it), focusing is smooth.
Viewfinder: the 90mm one has been repaired by the but it's a very simple design. a few optical elements in a box, had to reglue one of the elements. The 105mm one is in good condition too.
Center filters: has clearing marks but if you're looking at this camera you'll know enough about photography that these won't affect the picture.
ND filter: almost new
Accessories: according to age, good condition

Price: there are a few cameras on KEH and Ebay that give a clue. One can put together a mint system for about $6000 from Ebay, a used but good condition one on KEH goes for about 3500 with accessories.
It's the cheapest you will see for $2800.
I'm also open for trade suggestions.
