Description:
What i have for sale today is a 1952 Agfa Isolette III. This is a rare early model when agfa fitted it with a 85/4.5 solinar (4 element Tessar design) instead of the more common 75/3.5. The isolette III is one of the best medium format folders which just rank behind it's successor, the super isolette.
This particular piece is restored by the well know folder restorer, Mr. jurgen Kreckel of www.certo6.com himself. How did he restore it? Basically he took the entire camera apart, cleaned, lubed and adjusted the vital mechanism, polished the chrome top and refitted it with a absolutely stunning wine red bellows. This 50 years old camera will now live and work for another 50 years at the very least! This camera has:
* the Famed 85/4.5 Solinar lens (which rumour says that it surpass the tessar!)
* the high end Synchro Compur Shutter (agfa only built it into the super isolette other than the isolette III !)
* non-coupled rangefinder (which enables you to focus correctly. Lower end isolettes do not have a rangefinder.)
I am selling this camera with other accessories which i had painstakingly hunt and collect throughout the period that i had this camera. These are really really rare items (not to mention old!) that are still in a mint condition. All in a rare A30 push-in-filter size. These are:
* Original Afga yellow filter
* Original R1.5 filter
* B+W +1 close up filter
* B+W +2 close up filter
* Heliopan green filter
* Original Agfa lens hood
* Genei Lens hood
* Original Agfa isolette III leather case
