For anymore who uses Sonnar, you would understand why I paid to have this lens recalibrated to F2.8 by Zeiss Germany on march 2016.
Zeiss Germany also gave the lens a full CLA. Even up to now, the lens operates like it is out of the box, without any of the wobbling nightmares.
F2.8 is where this lens is sharp, and produce it's signature bokeh. F1.5 is too harsh.
If you are shooting with a rangefinder, you will appreciate this calibration.
For mirrorless it doesn't matter.
I am moving away from the rangefinder system.
