Description:
On sale is a hardly used Voigtlander 40/1.4 (multi-coated version) with LH-5 hood. You will also get the Hoya UV filter that is attached to the lens since day 1. Will only sell as a set. Full packaging (box, manual, etc) is included.
Lens is about 2 years old.
I had modified the lens to bring out the 35mm framelines on Leica M6. Note that this was done from day one and does not affect the lens in any other way.
The lens was recently re-lubricated by Mr. Philip Tay as the focussing grease seems to have hardened due to lack of use. Cost was $90.
The lens functions great, focussing is smooth, aperture click stops are sure and smooth.
I cannot see any cosmetic defects.
Optically, it is a good sample. I had tested it for its performance at 2 m after buying it and recently after the service. It is a good sample. Will show the test slides upon request.
Reason for selling: I already have a 35 cron and 35/1.2 Nokton. Too many duplications of focal length.
