Description:
This is a fast 135mm prime that is great for both video and stills. Images are nice and sharp with great colours. Out-of-focus blur is very nice with smooth transitions. This lens is from the TX-interchangeable mount series made by Tokina (Serial 37xxxx), which is known for wide-open sharpness. At F2.5, it is able to isolate subjects much better than the usual F2.8 versions of 135mm primes. It had been compared favorably against the Takumar 135mm F2.5.
The exterior of this lens is very nice with only few signs of use. The glass of this lens is beautiful -- clean and clear with no fungus, scratches or marks. Aperture is snappy and focusing is smooth. There is also a built-in lens hood. Lens come with original metal front cap, rear cap and a UV-Haze filter.
Lens could be used on some Nikon SLR bodies or adapted for use on mirrorless cameras (NEX, M4/3). The mount is interchangeable and you have choice of either Nikon F-Mount with Non (Pre)-AI prong or Minolta MC/MD mount - I only have these 2 mounts available. If you are using Nikon DSLR, please do your own research on whether your camera supports TTL metering with manual lenses as I am not a Nikon shooter. For mirrorless users, this is not a concern at all.
