Putting up my "old faithful" for sale.
This is a very good "50th Anniversary" copy of a grossly under-rated lens - much respected in the film days, but has been largely forgotten with the rise of APS-C DSLR's.
I've tested this lens on my A900 (for sale here: http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=480469) and can only say that it is absolutely FANTASTIC on FF, even wide-open. I've found it's sweet spot at F8.
On the A700 (and older) DSLR's, back- and front- focussing problems causes many photogs to dismiss this lens as being soft. But on the much more advanced A900, this lens (my copy at least), it is sharp at ALL focal-lengths (24mm - 135mm) wide-open from center to near the edges! Having compared this to my A700 + CZ 16-80, I'm abit worried because the Tamron is just as sharp and produces more realistic colors
This is not an empty boast or salesman's talk - I guarantee it and can email propective buyers the original images with exif data intact.
Overall condition is very very good with a few specks of dust in the glass (normal for an old lens). Zoom ring is still snug and not "creepy" at all.
