Oops! So sorry! Mistake! :embrass: The lens is assembled in China. Look at the box, saw the word "Japan" outside, immediately key into forum.

FYI, it should be motorized. So far have not seen any focus shifting problem on Auto mode. Please see photo just taken 15 minutes ago in following site:

Hand-held the camera, zoom set at 50mm from distance about 5-6 ft away. Selling away the lens because want to sell away the D70 body. Note:still have original box and plastic bag; shows owner takes real good care of his stuffs.
