This copy is very sharp, you don't have to play with Tamron lottery. In my opinion this lens is more useful than Canon's EF 24-70 f2.8L II USM because of Tamron's superb optical stabilisation, I can get sharp images at 1/2s at 70mm. It's $700 cheaper to boot.
