I think there's no need to introduce this legendary lens, rated one of the best zooms ever designed and manufactured. Fantastic color rendering and sharpness. Uses the old one-touch zoom (some people prefer that, and personally I find it faster and easier, and the barrel is nice to grip). The lens hood is designed specially for it. There is a dink at the front edge of the barrel
