I had this lens lens over a year and used it on my Canon 550D and never took it
off.
180 degree viewing angle makes this lens great for small rooms, cars and even
big buildings (many other picture subjects available) that normal non-fish eyes
cant get in frame.
The lens has good build quality, great optics and very easy too. Just make sure
you keep your fingers, elbows and feet out of the lenses view.
Pros and Cons base on my experience
Pros
- Very unique view of the world
- Price is pretty fair for an AF fisheye
- Central sharpness is very good when close to subjects
Cons
- Very difficult to use if youre not accustomed to a 180º field of view
Autofocus
With such an extremely wide angle lens, focusing is literally almost irrelevant
because of the inherently immense depth of field present with fisheye lenses.
When the lens actually does have to acquire focus, it does so quickly and
without fuss.
Ease of Use
Working with a fully circular 180º angle of view was a real eye-opener. As
such, I found it to be quite challenging to get effective images out of such a
specialty lens. One of the biggest things you need to be aware of when using
such a lens is keeping your feet out of the frame. When in doubt, point this
lens up.
