Selling an excellent condition m42 screwmount Pentax lens. This is the rare Asahi Pentax Super Multi Coated Macro Takumar 1:4 50mm lens. The lens excellent condition, the glass is clean with no scratches, no fungus or hazing. The aperture blades are dry and snappy, and iris functions well to no hesitation.The focus is smooth and well dampened with no drift , the Pentax Front and Rear caps are included as well.
It's large F1.4 aperture is great for shooting in low light conditions and though image may not be very sharp wide open, stopped down to f2 and higher, this lens will shine! A useful small lens good for carrying around as a spare.
Please Note that this is the Super Multi-Coated version, which has 7-8 layers of lens coating compared to the dual lens coat of the earlier Super takumars. the newer multi coating reduces ligh dispersion and reduces flare, allowing for good contrast and sharpness.
All film bodies that take m42 lens would be able to use this. With the an M42 adaptor, all canon, nikon, olympus, sony bodies are able to use this lens as well.
