Detailed Description:
The L or GM lens of the past, vivitar series 1 makes vintage lenses that are surprisingly sharp even by today’s standards. (And cheap)
Full metal bodies with aperture control, push pull zoom (no change in length however) makes manual focusing easy. Honestly can be as quick as autofocus with practice and focus peaking (plus reduce the time needed to switch af points - just turn the ring)
Available:
1. 28-90mm f2.8-f3.5 (take it as a 24-70 f4 that wouldve cost 700-800 in sony’s system). Original MD mount, with FE/E/NEX mount adapter. $150
2. 70-210mm f3.5 (maciam 70-200m f4). Original Pentax PK mount, with FE/E/NEX mount adapter. Slight problem that it can only stop down to f8 maximum but a portrait lens wouldnt be stop down so much anyways and look at the price. $50
Was plesantly surprised by both lenses as i hadnt heard of vivitar series 1 yet and i knew manual zooms were notoriously bad however these 2 were of good quality and sharpness, even possibly
comparable to primes. Bought initially as i was a prime shooter and wanted backup zooms at a low cost. Now priced to go. Both in very good condition
