On offer here is a very fine and uncommon Chiyoko Super Rokkor 50mm rangefinder lens with a unique signature in its images. Chiyoko is the former name of Minolta and this lens was released as the standard lens on the Minolta-35 Model II rangefinder in the early 1950s. It is somewhat Tessar-like wide open, with a sharp center graduating smoothly to less sharp edges. Out-of-focus area is very pleasing and has a bit of a swirly-bokeh effect under certain circumstances. This lens has coated glass elements and does not flare easily. This lens does produce very nice B&W (and colour) pictures. Some images taken with this lens on a full frame camera can be seen at the link below. Most shots are taken wide open at F2.8 with some at F4 and F5.6.

This lens has been tested to be fully functional using a 24MP full frame camera. It is in very nice shape cosmetically with the body shiny and bright, and has only some minor wear marks to the rim. Lens had been CLA-ed (cleaned and re-lubricated) and is working perfectly fine on digital or on rangefinders. Aperture and focusing ring turns nicely and smoothly throughout the whole range. Glass is clean and clear with no visible fungus or scratches. No haze at all. Some light microscopic wipe-marks can be seen under back light on the front glass, which is the norm to be expected for such old lenses, and is guaranteed to have no effect on your images.
Lens comes together with front and rear caps. I will also include a Brand New in Box multi-coated UV filter with this lens.
