Finally selling off my beloved macro lens.
If not already aware, it's a manual focus lens made by Kiron, a true macro which goes to 1:1 ratio. I have this in Nikon AI mount. You'll need an adapter to use it on cameras other than Nikon.
This is practically a Lester Dine 105/2.8, a legendary macro lens, also made by Kiron, which was specially produced for dental photography.
The Lester Dine had inscriptions for which TOOTH you're taking photos of. Some reviews have it that all else is virtually the same with this lens, including max f-stop, accdg to some lab tests. Just branded differently.
Very sharp 1:1 lens giving you enough working distance when taking macros of bugs. Worked very well with an extension tube (I use Nikon PK-13) and images stay sharp even with diopters (I use Canon 250D + 500D diopters).
Comes with original groovy Series 1 front cap, leather box, standard rear cap. Everything about this lens says "collector's item."
Having said that, this is a joy to shoot as much as it is to behold. Smooth focus, great sharpness, smooth out-of-focus background.
[Don't worry about this being manual-focus only. For serious macro, you would hardly ever use auto focus.]
