The lens is about 2 years old, well cared for and lived in a dry box. Unfortunately my helper dropped it on the floor from standing height.
The damage is mainly cosmetic:
1. 4mm x 4mm triangular scratch at the periphery
2. 4-5mm linear scratch adjacent to the original scratch
3. Dent on the front element holding ring
AF is working fine, zoom is fine and image quality does not seem to be affected.
In view of the damage I'm offering it for about 50% of the new price. I don't think it'll be cheap to repair but if you can live with the damage then this will be a good price.
Attached below is a picture - the damage is limited to the ellipse drawn at 12 o'clock. The other marks are all reflections or dust.
According to the guidelines, this qualifies as condition 5-6 but I think a more commong discription would be "lightly damaged"
