My reason for selling is that I purchased a 500mm f/4 P, and I simply can't afford to keep both. I decided to keep the 500mm.

Anything labeled "Birds" or "North Chagrin" was shot with the 600mm, and a good majority of the shots are all wide open @ F5.6. The photos speak for themselves... It's a VERY sharp lens. These are all taken on a Nikon D300 and almost none of them are cropped... just resized to large web photos. The server has been slow the last few days, so it may take a few extra moments for the photos to load.

This is the newest AIS version that focuses down to 5m, so I could only base my pricing off the last two AIS lenses that went up for sale in the last year. One sold for $2000, the other sold for $1750. Since I don't have the original hard case,
I'm asking $1700 + Shipping.
UPS Ground (Insured) would be the most cost effective way to go. I figured it's about $35 to ship it. If you'd like to use PayPal, I'll split the fees with you, or an eCheck would be free of any fees. Since the original hard case is missing, I constructed a soft-sided storage case out of 1000D Cordura and ballistics nylon so that the lens has somewhere safe to live when it's not in use.
