Equipment Type: Lens
Equipment Brand: Nikon
Equipment Model: 50mm F1.8 Series E and Some Other Lenses, Some Wide,Some Fast and Some Long.
Price (S$): Varies
Description:
First off, majority of these lenses have been CLA'd. However, if you have compulsive perfectionism disorder, these following lenses are not for you in our own terms.

They are just used nice and clean lenses and very average looking Joe(s) but high octane performance. Even if they are mint, we will not state it because we realized that its really pressurizing to sell it as a MINT equipment, unless its straight out from the box new. So in order not to be terrorized, hunted, accused or spat on, fastidious and those squeamish to some specks of dust potential buyers should halt right here.

Please read the facts carefully before you venture further.
1. Most lenses have been cleaned, lubed and adjusted(CLA) unless they are not stated.
2. Most lenses whether CLA'd or not will have some dust. Even if you get your lenses serviced in NSC, you may find some specks of dust in your newly returned lens. If you are nauseated or disgusted with the sight of dust, you always have have Cathay and MS Colors ;)
3. They will fit into and usable on any Nikon bodies. Its a matter of manual focusing or auto focusing and metering. So please kindly do your own research.
4. All lenses come with Nikon front and rear caps.
5. All lenses come with a normal UV or Skylight filter for protection purpose.
6. All lenses have no packaging cartons, manuals and manufacturers' warranty unless stated.
7. All lenses are working fine otherwise they won't appear here, unless its an oversight on our part and that's never intentional. Some may have coating faults but they will have no effects or bearing on your pictures.
8. Please bring your camera body to try the lenses at our designated location of viewing and dealing.
9. All the lenses are pictured and from there, its pretty obvious whether they are AF, AF-D, AF-N, or AIS.
10. They are full format or full frame lenses very usable on the DSLRs.
11. Most of all, they have no fungus, haze or scratches unless stated.
12. As for those who are always asking D and Non D lenses, focusing speed has nothing to do with whether or not a lens is D. The below is a QUOTE direct from Ken Rockwell(Not sure why, but everybody seems to trust him wholeheartedly for Nikon stuff). Although the camera he referred to is a Nikon F100, it applies to even your D80, D90, D300 and so forth.
"Even without the stupid "D" feature fill flash and metering work flawlessly on an F100. The "D" feature only is for people who insist on making flash photos directly into mirrors. Otherwise the "D" means nothing."
13. If they are D lenses they will stated after the model of the lenses, and you can see from the pictures as well. When viewing the lenses, there is no need to rub the D lettering. We have a buyer who likens the D to an expiry date and rubbed the D lettering really hard to make sure we are not falsifying the D ;)

AF 70-210mm F4-5.6

The AF 70-210mm F4-5.6 all metal great performance telephoto zoom lens. Made in Japan with no expenses spared to cut corners on quality. It is sharp. Period. If you think that you are missing something on your 70-300mm lens, then you will definitely be pleased with this lens. It is known to be sharper and better in terms of optics performance than the 70-300mm lenses.

It is a relatively clean lens but some coating spots/marks on the front lens could be found. This lens was CLA'd and tested. Definitely no scratches or fungus. Guarrantee not to affect your pictures in any way. If it does, will reimburse even your transport fee ;) Push-pull is firm and steady. Price is $170 for this piece that has been CLA'd.

AF 70-210mm F4 Series E

The Series E lenses are like the Harijan(lowest ranking) in the Nikon Caste system. But within this Nikkor lens quality stratification, there exist a few outstanding performers. The 75-150mm, the 70-210f4 and the 50/1.8. The 70-210mm F4 provides a constant F4 throughout the full range up to 210mm. It has the same optics as the autofocus version but at a lower price. Aperture goes down to F32 and focuses down to 0.56 meters as compared to the more expensive F2.8 that reaches only F22.

Very solidly built and very nice and clean condition except some dust in the lens. The push-pull is firm and steady. If you need a fast and sharp lens, this is the one with a pricing of $280.

AF 75-240mm F4-5.6 D

Next up is a 75-240mm D which probably many have not heard about it. But in quite a few reviews, the key phrase is "Surprisngly Good Lens!"

As quoted from Mr Parson's review of this lens:
"The surprise seemed to be the performance on another test comparing the 75-240 with the Nikon AF 85/1.8D and the Nikon AF 180/2.8D ED-IF at 85mm and 180mm but focused on detail at maybe 200 yards distance. It gave a slightly different result to the above set (at maybe a mile, careful manual focus). I didn't test all apertures on the next test, just at the widest aperture of the 75-240 and at f/11. The 85mm and 180mm lenses were also set to match the widest aperture of the 75-240 as well as f/11.

In that closer distance test it appears that the prime lenses are just better than the zoom at f/11, it's very close and needs a magnifier on the 6"x4" prints. But at the matching maximum aperture which was f/5 for the 180mm test and f/4.5 for the 85mm, it works out that the 75-240 zoom is just slightly better than the primes. Puzzling, but I've been over the results many times, shuffling the prints and then inspecting and re-sorting them into quality order then turning them over to see what was what. It is very close but it always comes up the same. I'm not so much learning how good this 75-240 lens is, as finding the weird things that happen at different focus distances."

Best when used at the long end wide open. Very light and idea lens for travelling. Certainly a value for money lens. Priced at $170 with NO fungus, haze or scratch included.

So much for the telephoto zoom lenses. Stay tune for the next post in this thread for the 105mm F2.8, 50mm F1.4, 50mm F1.2, 50mm F1.8 and a Tokina 17mm F3.5.

AIS 50mm F1.4 and AIS 50mm F1.2

These two 50mm enses are nice and fast. One is fast and the other faster. Both in AIS and will only focus manually. Both have been CLA'd accordingly and brought to original specs. Focusing is smooth and come with no fungus or haze or scratches. The faster 50mm F1.2 AIS has some coating spots on the rear element( the one nearest to the camera body) not on the center but on the side. We guarrantee it will in no way affect the pictures. This is a 9 bladed version if that matters to you and you can count them from the pictures below. The 50mm F1.4 is priced at $210 and the 50mm F1.2 is priced at $480.

Tokina RMC 17mm F3.5 Red TL Version(the later version)

A great ultra wide angle manual lens at the best price-performance-ratio that you can find. It is sharp especially if you stop down a bit. It has fairly high resolution, and definitely makes a great and compact lens to keep in your stable of lenses.

In superb condition and nice coating, with no haze or fungus included in the price of $270. A 67mm Hoya filter is also included. Just 3mm longer, and one stop lower, this Tokina UWA is at least 1.8k cheaper than the 14mm 2.8 ED Nikon lens ;) The cap used is a Nikon 67mm center pinch type, and rear cap is also from Nikon. Again, price is $270.

Next up is the 105mm F2.5 AIS

AIS 105mm F2.5 with Built In Hood

Your quest for an affordable portrait lens ends here. This lens was also CLA'd and brought back to specs. There are the scratch marks on the built in hood(3rd picture) but overall very nice and clean with very smooth focusing. This is a manual focus AIS lens and "standard lens" for those into portraits. Priced at $210 with no fungus, haze or scratches included.

AIS 50mm F1.8 Pancake Series E and the AF 50mm F1.8 N

Compact and affordable nice standard lens. Why call it a standard lens? Simply because it comes closest to our human eye's perception of distance and depth. Though small, they are by no means mediocre in performance. The manual pancake 50mm F1.8 is very compact if you see the pictures below as compared to its siblings. The AF 50mm F1.8 N version, not to be mistaken with the D version is a winner in its own class. Normally known as the "Made in Japan" version of the 50mm F1.8 as opposed to those made in China or Thailand, this version is tack sharp. Please go to this webpage and see the comparison for yourself. Scroll down on that webpage and see the AF 50mm F1.8 N versus the AF 50mm F1.8 D. You will understand why this lens is highly desired among some of the Japanese photographers we know. If you hold the lens in your hand, you will notice it feels more sturdy and better built than the D version.

The Pancake 50mm F1.8 Series E is priced at $100 and the AF 50mm F1.8 N priced at $160. Both in great excellent condition.
