Inherited this from a friend (was his D70s kit lens) via one of those silly wagers-on-a-dare that men are oft-to-do when bored (or drunk). Was surprised that he honored the deal, considering aforementioned wagers rarely end up as profit. Well, probably because he had acquired the 18-200mm and no longer had use for this.
So it served as a backup for me after I got my own 18-200mm. Again, no point in having a backup now that I've more or less have got a decent plethora of lenses to fall back upon.
Anyway, the caveat is that I have absolutely no idea what where he's been with the lens (trip to japan once with me, that's all) for it looks perfectly worn. The hood was lost awhile back (by him) and minor specks of dust can be seen as well. But of course, it takes pictures fine. I had also just recently brought it to NSC to spruce it up for the future buyer but was told not to bother as it doesn't affect performance.
So I guess the disclaimer, 'Picky buyers need not apply' will apply here. Thanks for viewing!
