Minolta is probably one of the best lens manufactures closely trailing Leica and Zeiss. The company always been known to achieve consistency across its Rokkor lenses. And this lens is well regarded for its classic rendering, natural colors and pleasing bokeh.
Being a full frame lens, it can be adapted and mounted to just about anything without veiling or vignetting. Alpha, Nex, M4/3, PL, Olympus, Panasonic, RED, GH4, and many more. The glass is nothing short of spectacular. The Rokkor lenses are insanely sharp on my Sony A7s as well as my GH4 in full HD!
