Description:
In near mint external condition, with some dust specks inside. Comes with original front and rear caps. There are some fine hairlines on the front element which will have no effect on the image quality.
This is the rarer f/2.5 version which uses radioactive glass for better correction of optical abberations. This lens was produced for a relatively short time before Minolta went on to the less expensive and more common f/2.8 version using normal optical glass. Like many vintage premium lenses using radioactive glass, the elements tend to turn yellow when placed in storage and need to be exposed to sunlight/UV rays to clear the yellowness.
A nice lens for the user of vintage glass as well as collector!
