This is the early limited Crossed XX Maxxum version which has two overlapping XX. This particular way of representing "Maxxum" was discontinued shortly after Exxon won a lawsuit against Minolta for the use of the double crossed XX. As such, there are limited numbers of such lenses with crossed XX and they became collectible items that are highly sought after by collectors.
This lens is fully compatible with all Sony A-mount DSLRs / DSLTs, and will fit E-mount NEX or A7x series with the LA-EA2/4 adaptor. It is in excellent cosmetic condition. Glass is crystal clean and clear, with no fungus, marks or scratches. Aperture blades are dry and snappy and focusing is smooth and spot-on. Pictures from this lens are sharp and rich in the famed Minolta colours.
This full frame lens is quite compact and built to last without any of the inferior build quality of plastic lenses. With no lens motor within, it will basically last for decades (as it already had) long after similar Sony SAM or SSM lenses had bitten the dust. Lens come with both front and rear cap and built-in lens hood.
