Why called the Minolta Mini Beer Can? If you're a fan of the 70-210 f4 then you should be a fan of this lens. It just continues from 70 down to 35mm. All the qualities of the beercan are inherent in this lens!
It is extremely compact, and the build quality is very good - better than anything produced these days. The zooming is just gorgeous and fast with the Sony Alpha bodies.
It's become a favorite, especially for macro. It's light and compact, decent range, very sharp with great colors. Highly recommended lens and was given high ratings for distortion and flare control.
It is sharp wide open, sharper stopped down. Pretty quick AF. Mathematically covers the ideal range for portraiture of a sensor in the A100 (~55.6mm). Ability to reproduce color much better than the washed out 18-70 Sony kit lens.
The Minolta filter will only be given at BNP of $120. Thanks. It comes with Minolta front and a generic rear cap. Glass is crisp and clear with no haze or fungus. Remember to bring your camera body to try out this petite little lens.
