Description:
Selling this rather rare Minolta 70-210mm F3.5-4.5 telephoto lens in very good condition. This is the immediate successor to the famous beercan. Even though this is not fully metal-built, it retains most of the image qualities of the beercan (such as sharpness and bokeh) and also improves upon it in certain aspects, such as better AF speed and less CA and most importantly, it is much lighter and easier to bring around. Camera balance is also better, especially with the lighter cameras like the A33/A55. Do not confuse this lens with the subsequently-released 70-210mm F4.5-5.6 which has inferior image quality.

In short, if you like the IQ of the beercan but do not like its weight and size, this is a lens you should consider. It is smaller and weighs less than 2/3 the weight of the beercan and comes with a nice & convenient DOF preview/Focus hold button which is easily accessible by the thumb of your lens hand. No more fumbling around for the small DOF preview button on your camera!
This lens is in very clean and good condition with some minor user marks. Glass on both ends are nice, clean and clear. No scratch, no fungus, no marks. Aperture is fast and snappy.
