This is a rare red scale Tele Elmar in M mount for which 3000 were produced out of approximately 28000 pieces. This red scale is the scalloped focusing ring. It's a versatile, very sharp, high resolution lens and have the same optical formula to the current much costlier over USD3100 Apo Telyt 135mm f/3.4. As a matter of fact in below review, some Apo Telyt 135mm owners sold off the Apo version coz couldn't tell the image quality apart with this eariler Tele-Elmar versions. Check out review:-

It takes well and sharp for close up as seen in unsharpened image fitted with extension tube or Long range. Color Rendering, bokeh and contrast control excel in these department. More rave reviews in Internet.:-

Lens cosmetics I will rate it 7.5/10, glass 9/10, clear clean elements. No scratches, fungus. Focusing smooth and aperture clicks snappily. I like this one of Leica best bargain lens so much, I bought another one, a unscalloped focusing mount but can't see differences in image quality between these two.
