Selling a black Made-in-Germany Summicron-M 50mm with the built-in telescoping hood (model 11826). The serial number of this lens is 38XXXXX. This lens in NOT 6-bit coded. The glass is extremely clean and clear. External condition of the lens is very good; no scratches, dings, dents or other marks. Markings are completely intact and looks very new. Lens mount has no wear marks apparent from excessive mounting. E39 filter thread is not damaged and built in hood slides in and out smoothly. Mechanical quality is as expected for a Leica lens: focusing action is extremely smooth and aperture ring turns positively to every click stop. Update

A forumer have placed a reservation for the lens at the asking price. The twist to this is that we will only be arranging to view in early April. I have given my assurance that I will not be cutting any other deals before we meet then, even those with offers that might be higher than what I have received from the person who reserved the lens.

I will update this thread again after the first meeting to view the lens, so that anyone interested can know the status.

However, as the sale is not concluded, you might still want to indicate you interest for the lens for viewing after the early April date.

I making a change to the requirement for the WTS, that subsequent offers for the lens after the early April date be logged as replies to this thread, for transparency purposes.
