As a photography tool, I find the Panasonic G1 to be exceptional:
- EVF with 1.4 million dots-equivalent high resolution display auto-gains in low light, this greatly helps in composition
- No flipping mirror means less vibration, more compact and lightweight for quick handling 
- Magnified view as a focus-aid in manual focus application is better than split-prism for crictical focus (think macro)
