Made in W Germany Carl Zeiss Sonnar f1.5 lens in almost mint/9+ condition. According to Cameraquest USA, this lens is considered one of the best normal lenses (www.cameraquest.com/conrf.htm)
Glass clean with no visible marks, no dust, no haze or fungus. S/N 1890xxx. Included is a new Kipon Contax RF to M39 adapter which focuses to infinity, allowing it to be used with other digital bodies. Add a M39-M adapter for M bodies, and an M-NEX for Sony bodies (both not included).
On a A7II body, creamy/dreamy look at f1.5, typical of high speed lenses of 50's/60's. Contrast and sharpness increase significantly from f2 onwards, rivalling modern lenses. Sort of like a 2-in-1 lens. Sample pix available.
The included Kipon Contax RF to M39 (Leica Thread Mount) adapter is rangefinder coupled for M bodies, infinity focus OK when used with a M39-M adapter and additional M-NEX adapter (both not included) for Sony bodies.
