I'm giving up the hobby.
The lens is in pristine condition. I used it on only 3 trips to the bird park. At $2900, its about 20% off the retail price. I bought it at $3450 from Cathay Photo in July. Local Canon warranty until October 2012.
I also have the following to clear:
1. B+W UV filter for the 70-200. - $100
2. Thinktank Streetwalker - $180
Most comfortable back-pack I have found, and believe me, i have bought, exchanged and sold off a few. This model can carry the 70-200mm f2.8 with a large dslr, and its hood attached. And still have about 5 compartments at the side for lenses and stuff. The bag's original price is $230 from TK foto.
3. Thinktank Digital Holster 50 V2 -$90
Allows you to carry a large dslr and a 70-200mm f2.8 lens with its hood attached, in an almost ready-to-shoot manner. The bag's original price is $125 from TK foto.
