Description:
This is a very good quality but affordable walkabout zoom lens with Image Stabilization (IS). Image quality is good and AF relatively fast and sharp. Built is solid (not plasticky) but not a heavy burden for walkabout. The IS feature is very useful for low light settings.
I've not used it very much since I got an L series of roughly the same zoom range. The UV filter is always attached and I also have a petal lens hood.
