Selling my favourite lens, the 15-85mm, a highly underrated and solidly built lens (definitely better built than the 18-55 and 17-55 f2.8, I have owned all three..). Contrast and sharpness is great on this lens. Love it for the wide-angle and additional reach over the 55mm. Perfect as a walkabout/travel multipurpose lens.
Set includes
- Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
- EW-78E original petal lens hood (made in Japan, with black felt lining to further cut stray light. third party lens hood usually does not have lining.)
- B+W F-pro MRC UV filter (Made and bought in Germany)
- Kenko Pro-1D Circular Polariser (ultra thin low profile frame to avoid vignetting on super wide angle lens) Made in Japan
Selling due to change of system, currently not keen to sell items individually. Accessories alone cost over $200. I find these accessories essentials in protecting and getting the most out of the lens. Loved and carefully used, no scratches on lens/filters. Resides in dry box when not in use.
Quite a imposing lens with the hood on, not very suitable if you want to go unnoticed but certainly do a great job with flare and protecting the front element.
Decent bokeh, no special setting for pictures,, only slight adjustment made to exposure...but thats purely a camera thing, not the lens.
