Do note that this is indeed a TTL flash, certain generic-type flash and even old Minolta flash like the 3500xi (which I also own) also "works" with Sony DSLR, but there is no TTL support and getting the right exposure can be an issue everytime. There is no direct comparison for this flash with Sony's original flash, but I guess the closest will be the HVL-F20AM which cost $199 (not sure if it has TTL Metering too)
You may like to refer to this site for a more detailed write up of the product. Please note that it is marketed under a different brand Rokinon here, but it is exactly the same thing as the one I am selling. Even from a budget internet store like Overstock.com and without shipping cost, the price is already around SGD$80.
