I bought a brand new black K-x + DA 18-55mm kit lens in early November 2009 from a reputed Singapore camera dealer in Funan. I have extensively tested it the following weekend for focus quickness & accuracy, high ISO noise + explored the entire rich feature-set under both normal and extreme conditions. Even the in-built sensor based stabilization is good for a full 2/3 stops (depending upon focal length and amount of handshake.) This testing took about a 1000 shots or so as a result.
I am fully satisfied that I have a very good copy of both body and kit lens. Haven't got a chance to really use the camera after that and it has been sitting in my dry cabinet since then.
Since I will definitely not be having the time for the near future to really enjoy my K-x (going abroad for work in Jan 2010 for a few months) + the fact that I originally wanted a RED body (which wasn't available in early November with any dealer), I have decided to offer my black body for sale.
I now wish to sell *ONLY* the black body + DA kit lens (18-55mm f3.5-5.6) with its original box and accompanying cables & manuals for SG $890. I will also offer the original sales receipt to an interested buyer. Camera originally came with a 1-Year local Singapore warranty (Nov. 2009 to Nov. 2010). I haven't used the online warranty registration feature in addition.
Maybe others here are occasionally offering a K-x kit at slightly lower prices... but do consider that I am offering a camera + kit lens which has been personally tested to complete satisfaction. I do this for all my photo gear purchases!
Condition of the item is a full and complete '10' by this web sites standards. The camera has been in my dry cabinet since I bought and tested it.
If you are in a hurry to get a hardly used black K-x body with a DA 18-55mm lens included with all accompanying cables and manuals in its original box with original sales receipt with local warranty (no other freebies like SDHC, AA Battery set, etc.), I am asking for SG $890.
OR
If you do not need the DA 18-55mm kit lens (i.e. you want the black K-x body only), then I will less SG $100 from the above price i.e. I am asking for SG $790.
I will be returning to Singapore from overseas on 25 Dec 2009 evening. Can either meet up with you the same night or the next day/night i.e. 26 Dec at either Sengkang MRT station for you to check out and buy the equipment.
For your ultimate satisfaction, I think it is fair to offer the interested buyer a 1-week no-questions-asked return period against a FULL REFUND of his paid amount should he or she change his mind *provided the returned equipment is in the exact same condition it was purchased.* NO REFUND will be entertained after this period under any circumstances.

The kit lens mentioned above is actually a DA 18-55mm and not a DA-L 18-55mm.
Unless I am mistaken, I think the DA-L ('L' for 'Lightweight') has a plastic mount whereas my offered kit lens has a metal mount. Optically both DA and DA-L are the same from what I have read on the Internet.
It seems all K-x kits in Singapore are available only with DA-L (plastic mounts) at present. So you benefit in actually getting a longer lasting and tougher metal mount which is actually more expensive than a plastic mount. I think $40-$50 or so more expensive if I am not wrong!
