I got this G1 as a 2nd camera to my GF1 for my friend's wedding. My copy is probably the last production batch - serial number is 9Lxxxxx which reads as 2009 December manufacture. It does not have the rubber coating that some complain fades over time. Shutter count is 1101 as of this morning.
The G1 has the 1.4 million dots-equivalent high resolution display, auto-gains in low light, which greatly helps in composition.
If you have a EP or GF, this is a good companion for a zoom or manual lens.
