Description:
Selling a roughly 3 month old overseas set DMC-LF1.
I bought this camera with the intention of using it as a compact companion to my not-that-bulky-to-begin-with Sony A7 system for a vacation trip. But I recently came back from overseas and during my trip, I ended up just using my A7 most of the time (The A7 series is a really good camera for both professional and casual use). Anyway, since this newly bought compact will be underutilized, so I'd rather find it a new owner who can utilize it.
The LF1 is a really good camera. Specs can be found from Google, but I'll just say a few things about the camera.
Smartphones are making entry-level compact cameras not worth getting, and most advanced prosumer compacts are not that compact actually. The LF1, in my opinion, is one of the better choices for a compact camera that has far more decent image quality and yet truly pocketable. It has a built-in EVF and while the resolution is sub-par, it can be really useful at time when there's bright sunlight (most of us use compact cameras in the day anyway, if you want good low light performance bigger sensor still matters) It has WiFI function and variable aspect ratio which makes this a very good instagram camera (My smartphone has a lousy camera, so I use the LF1 to take photos in square format and wifi it to my phone to upload) The camera's sensor is the same as the flagship panasonic compact LX7 but with a slightly slower (but still sharp leica optics and longer zoom) lens which I feel makes more sense in a compact. The IS works very well so you don't have to worry about slower shutter speeds due to the slightly slower lens.
I'm selling this near-mint set, with everything in the box, as well as some freebies, namely
2x extra 3rd party batteries (total 3 batteries)
tiltpod, with the adhesive pivot stuck on to the base of the camera (see above photo) - a really useful "tripod' that does take up much space. See http://gomite.com/ for more info.
a small vanguard pouch which fits the LF1 nicely.
$300 is a very good price for such a good condition advanced compact camera. Not in hurry to sell, will only let go if the asking price is met.
